Hello Woods Families,
Our first full week of school felt more like summer with 80 degree days. But inside, the students were busy, busy, busy! Middle schoolers are gearing up for student council elections. Being a part of student council is an excellent opportunity for leadership development and boosting school spirit. Good luck to all nominees.
Here are a few important things to know:
Practice began this week for Middle School Volleyball, Soccer, and Cross Country. Want to come cheer on your Wildcat or root for a friend? Visit this LINK to see the game times and locations. The first volleyball game is Tuesday, September 17th and our first cross country meet is Thursday, September 19th!
Our students in 3-8th grade completed their benchmark testing this past week on I-Ready for math and reading. These scores are used by our teaching staff to individualize their learning and increase learning in areas of need. Thank you for having your student at school and ready to learn!

Here are some important dates to remember:
Monday, September 16th - Ice Cream Social on the school playground from 6-7pm. All are welcome! Food for anyone with dietary restrictions will be available.
Wednesday, September 18th - Early release for all grades 4k-8th at 11:20am. Please note After School Day Care (ASDC) will be available until 5:30pm.
Tuesday, September 24th - The first Dine-to-Donate fundraiser held by the WPTG at the Next Door Pub. A flyer will be sent home next week with details!
Thursday, October 31st - Trunk-or-Treat in the Woods School Parking Lot. Trunks needed. A sign up was sent out today.
Did you know? - School fees are always available to pay via Pushcoin. This includes field trips, ASDC, lunches, and more. If you need help setting up your account please contact the school office.
