Hello Woods Families,

The third week of school brought us more hot temps and our first half day! Our staff was busy with their own learning and prepping in the classroom. Middle school girls had their first volleyball game and our cross country attended their first meet. Good luck Wildcats!

Here are a few important things to know:

  1. The return to school always comes with some challenges, besides new routines, we also encounter some illness’. We are always striving to keep your child and our staff happy and healthy. Please use the guidelines listed below should your child become sick, and do not hesitate to see the advice of your health care provider. If your child has any of the below symptoms please keep them at home until they are well; to prevent the spread of illness. 

    1. Fever of 100.4 F or higher

    2. Vomiting

    3. Diarrhea

    4. Sore Throat

    5. Chills

    6. Cough/Congestion

    7. Rash

Generally, your child may return to school when they are symptom free. Any child with a fever above 100.4 F with flu-like symptoms must stay home 24 hours after their fever is gone, without using fever-reducing medications like acetaminophen or ibuprofen. This is for all ailments including Covid. 

  1. Middle School held their student council elections this week. Congratulations to all participants on their hard work and great speeches!

  2. Please note that there will be NO ASDC the following days:

    1. Tuesday, September 24th

    2. Monday, September 30th

    3. Thursday, October 17th

  3. Here are some important dates to remember:

    1. Tuesday, September 24th - The first Dine-to-Donate fundraiser held by the Woods PTG at the Next Door Pub. A flyer has been sent home. Please remember to mention Woods School when ordering.

    2. Thursday, October 31st - Trunk-or-Treat in the Woods School Parking Lot.

  4. Get your smiles ready and mark your calendar. Picture Day is coming on October 14th!

  5. A gentle reminder that if your child plans to be late to school please email your child’s teacher or the front office thoselton@woodsschool.com if they plan to have hot lunch. Our hot lunch orders are placed by 8:30am every day.
