Hello Woods Families,
We completed Week 6 of the school year already! Your child has been busy learning inside and outside the classroom. Our 5th grade class was able to sign up for a band instrument that they get to test out all year, before declaring band in middle school.
Here are a few important things to know:
Monday is School Picture Day! Bring your best smiles. Picture retake day will be Tuesday, November 19th.
The 4K students enjoyed their first field trip to pick pumpkins! 3rd Grade was able to visit the local high school for some agricultural learning.
Our soccer and cross country teams have wrapped up for the season and what a season it was! The soccer team finished strong with a record of 4-0! The cross country team had 6 runners and held their own against schools with many more participants. Way to go Wildcats!
Volleyball is still in full swing. Another day has been added to their schedule! Join them Monday for a home scrimmage game against Burlington Catholic Central at 4pm.
Has your child misplaced their jacket, sweatshirt, kneepads etc…our lost and found is located on a table in the hallway by the gym entrance.
Do you have a hobby you would like to share? We are looking for interested parents / community members who would like to host an after school workshop for our students. Please contact the school office if you are interested.

Merchandise will be shipped to the school early November and sent home with students. Unless specified as a gift, then arrangements can be made with parents to pick up. A flier will be sent home by early next week.
Looking ahead:
There will be NO ASDC on Thursday, October 17th.
There will be no school on Thursday October 24th and Friday October 25th for Teacher Inservice.

Community Spotlight: Looking for something to do this weekend? Lake Geneva Youth Camp is hosting a Dodgeball Tournament Sunday, October 13th at 3pm for grades 6-12th.
PTO Spotlight: The next meeting is Monday October 14th at 6pm, all are welcome to attend. Our PTO will also begin the first stages of planning our annual Silent Auction. Want to be a part of that? You can attend the planning meeting on Monday October 14th, beginning at 7:15pm.
