WILDCATS WEEKLY CONNECTION

Hello Woods Families,

October is school safety month and this week we practiced our second fire drill of the year! Students were able to take a small break from learning to enjoy some fall parties in their classrooms! The weather continues to change daily, but in general it is getting cooler. Please be sure that you are sending your child to school with proper wear for recess. If the temperature is below 60 degrees, a jacket is required to go outside.

Here are a few important things to know:

Boys Basketball is gearing up for a great season! Practice started this week, you can find the full schedule on our website under “Explore” then navigate to “Calendar.”
Board Game Club returned and fun was had by all. It will meet on Wednesday of each week through November. If you have a child in grades 5th -8th who would like to attend, just return the permission slip to the front office.
Looking ahead:
1. Monday, November 11th will be our Veteran’s Day Assembly at 2:45. Please have your student wear red, white, and blue!
2. Thursday November 14th - early dismissal
3. Friday November 15th - No School
4. Tuesday, November 19th - Picture retake day, if you plan to have your child retake their picture, please return the proof/package to your student’s teacher before the 19th. If you have any questions you can contact the school office.
5. November 21st is our annual Pilgrim Feast! Flyers are going home today (you can find one attached to this email as well). This yearly tradition is so loved and we are beyond thankful to the Whowell Family who graciously makes this happen each year!
6. Thursday, December 5th - Our annual Holiday concert will be held in the Badger High School Auditorium at 6:30pm - be on the lookout for more information from Mr. Gates
7. Saturday, December 7th - The Lake Geneva Christmas Parade - Mr. Gates will be sending home information to band members soon!
Thursday, November 14th - Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held from 12:30-7pm. Each year the WPTG hosts a luncheon for our teachers. Below is the signup link to donate a dish to pass. Be on the lookout next week for a signup for volunteers. Signup Link
Our goal is to meet with 100% of our families during these conferences. If you would like to meet with any Specials’ teachers, they will be here and available for walk-ins. Please use the links below to sign up, if you have not already.
