Hello Woods Families,

Week 11 kicked off with our Veteran’s Day Assembly headed up by Mrs. Borowczyk! Many thanks to all the students and staff who participated to make this such a wonderful event. It was also great to see all the families come in for conferences to discuss all of our great students!

Here are a few important things to know:

  1. The Student Council donated $200 to the Lake Geneva Rotary Club to provide winter jackets, hats and gloves to area children. The money was raised by the Students of Woods School, what a wonderful donation!

  2. Student Council Spirit Day and Fundraiser is Tuesday, November 26th. Please help and do your part by coming to school with CRAZY HAIR and wearing your Woods School apparel. Bring $1 donation or more if you would like! All proceeds go to the Walworth County Food Pantry. 

  3. If you participated in the 8th grade car wash fundraiser, please have those forms back to the school office by Monday, November 18th. 

  4. Don’t forget, if you have a student in Middle School Band or Choir, shirts need to be purchased by no later than November 17th. You can purchase them Here.

  5. Boys basketball kicked off this week with their first two games! Be sure to check out the schedule on the website and come cheer them on!

  6. Looking ahead: 

    1. Tuesday, November 19th - Picture retake day, if you plan to have your child retake their picture, please return the proof/package to your student’s teacher before the 19th. If you have any questions you can contact the school office.

    2. November 21st is our annual Pilgrim Feast! Thank you to everyone who has brought in the classroom donations. If you have not yet done so, please get those to school on Monday the 18th. Unless you are bringing rolls and/or desserts, those are due on the 20th! 

    3. Thursday, December 5th - Our annual Holiday concert will be held in the Badger High School Auditorium at 6:30pm - be on the lookout for more information from Mr. Gates.

    4. Saturday, December 7th - The Lake Geneva Christmas Parade - Mr. Gates will be sending home information to band members soon!

    5. Saturday, December 7th is also the annual 8th grade Craft Fair! Come on out and do some early Holiday shopping from 9am - 3pm!

  7. Many thanks to the WPTG for organizing lunch for P/T conferences and to the families who graciously donated food. It is very appreciated.  

  8. Community Spotlight: If you are a family in need this holiday season, Chapel on the Hill will be hosting a Food Pantry Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am-12 noon. They will also be hosting a Thanksgiving Dinner on Saturday November 23rd. Door will open at 11am with dinner served from Noon - 2pm.
