WILDCATS WEEKLY CONNECTION

Hello Woods Families,

We are excited to welcome everyone back after winter break this week. Our 19th week was a whirlwind and packed with stories, learning, and reconnecting. Happy 2025!

Here are a few important things to know:

  1. We are now enrolling for our 4K Early Education Program for the 25-26 school year. If you are a Geneva Jt. 4 resident and have a child who will be 4 years of age by September 1, 2025 and would like to enroll them please visit www.woodschool.com and navigate to Prospective Families > Register Now to register online. If you have any questions please call the school office at 262.248.3816.

  2. Just a reminder that in order to maintain the continuity of our learning environment, parents will no longer be permitted to take forgotten items to a classroom once our school day has begun. Please do not be offended if we ask you to leave the item with the main office. 

  3. As our weather starts to change, please make sure students are coming to school with winter coats, snow pants/boots, hats, and gloves. If you are in need of winter gear for your children please reach out to the front office by phone or email; 262-248-3816 or thoselton@woodsschool.com

  4. Has your child outgrown their winter gear? Please consider donating them to the school, our teachers do keep “extras” when available. You can drop those off at the school front office. 

  5. We are excited to start our ski season here at Woods. This is for the 1st-8th grade students. Please make sure you are paying close attention to deadlines. In order to ski on January 17th, ALL paperwork AND payment must be received by the morning of January 15th. If you are a season pass holder, the only thing that needs to be turned in is the weekly permission slip. 

  6. Looking ahead: 

    1. There will be NO After School Day Care the following days: January 17th, 23rd, 31st, and February 5th. 

    2. There will be NO School on Friday, January 24th for a Teacher Inservice day. 

    3. The WPTG is hosting a family skate night at Traxside in Burlington on Wednesday January 29th from 5:30 - 8:00pm. More details to follow

    4. The Book Fair is coming! Mark your calendars for February 3rd-6th.
