Hello Woods Families,

Week 22 means we are officially past the half-way point of 24/25 already! We saw much milder temps and the children were able to head back outside for recess! In the photo, you will see Mr. Gates finding fun games to play for indoor recess, last week. Our staff and students continue to work hard, learn, and grow each day. 

Here are a few important things to know:

  1. Our Scholastic Book Fair opens Monday, February 3rd. We are still looking for volunteers to help operate the fair, please consider signing up here: Book Fair Volunteer Signup Below are the hours:

Monday Feb 3rd: 8:10am - 10:30am; 11:00am - 12:30pm

Wednesday Feb 5th: 8:10am - 10:30am; 11:00am - 12:30pm

Thursday Feb 6th: 8:10am - 10:30am; 11:00am - 1pm; 2:00pm - 5:00pm  

  1. If you haven’t already set up your e-wallet for your child to shop the book fair, please do so here: Woods School Book Fair

  2. Parent/Teacher Conferences are coming up on February 6th. As always, our Woods PTG is hosting lunch for our incredible staff. Please consider signing up to bring a dish Here.

  3. Starting this Monday, February 3, 2025 the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) opens the window for Open Enrollment. In Wisconsin, families have the option to explore school districts outside of their home residence. For more information the news release from DPI is attached HERE. Please reach out to Mrs. Davies at ldavies@woodsschool.com for questions, visits, and tours. 

  4. Our next ski day is Wednesday, February 5th. In order to ski on February 5th, ALL paperwork AND payment must be received by the morning of February 3rd by 9am. If you are a season pass holder, the only thing that needs to be turned in is the weekly permission slip. The ability to purchase tickets for the 5th is now available on Pushcoin. Please remember to send all QR codes to ski@woodsschool.com.

  5. Looking ahead: 

    1. There will be NO After School Day Care on February 5th. 

    2. There will be Early Release on Thursday, February 6th at 11:20am

    3. Parent / Teacher Conferences are being held the afternoon/evening of Thursday, February 6th.

    4. There will be NO School on Friday, February 7th.

    5. Challenge Week 2025 will be held the week of February 17th - Schedule to come

    6. Alumni Night will be held on February 24th
