Hello Woods Families!

Week 29 was our final week in March, which led us to our upcoming spring break. Mother Nature once again kept us on our toes, there is never a dull moment here in the Midwest. 

Here are a few important things to know:

  1. Student Spotlight: A big congratulations to Ivar E. in 7th grade, he has earned a spot on the Central Division U14 US Ski Team for the CanAms ski race in Mont Tremblant, Canada.  He is one of 5 boys chosen to race for the Central team and he'll be racing against the top skiers from the Eastern Division and all of Canada. Best of luck to Ivar! 

  2. The Open Enrollment window is open for another month. Open Enrollment is unique to Wisconsin allowing families to consider schools outside of their resident district. For more information about Open Enrollment you can contact Mrs. Lynn Davies (ldavies@woodsschool.com or you can visit DPI’s website HERE.

  3. Looking ahead: 

    1. April 4th is Woods Annual Home Opener starting at 1:50pm - Parents are more than welcome to attend the assembly. 

    2. April 18th - No School - Good Friday

    3. April 21st - No School - Teacher Inservice

    4. April 24th - 3rd - 8th Grade Play - More information to follow

    5. May 2nd - The invitations to the Annual Silent Auction have all been sent out. If you did not receive an invitation, please contact Mrs. Hoselton at the front office. We hope all can attend!

    6. May 8th - Spring Concert

  4. We are only 11 weeks away from our 8th Grade Graduation. As we countdown the final weeks for these Wildcats, we will be showcasing one student each week. First up is Amelia, please see the attached document for her accomplishments, interests, and memories of Woods!

  5. Here is a link to the February 19th Board Meeting Minutes. Our next meeting will be April 23rd in the school library at 5pm. All are welcome to attend.
