Hello Woods Families!

Week 31 had us finding our learning groove after spring break. Lots of work and preparations leading up to our Forward Testing. We ended the week with our annual Brewers Home Opener - Woods Style!

Here are a few important things to know:

  1. Our students will be starting the Wisconsin Forward testing the week of April 8th. As you know, this statewide test measures student learning and growth, which impacts our DPI school report card. For more Forward information, click HERE. Please make sure your student has a good nights’ followed by a nutritious breakfast for top performance!

  2. The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) provides opportunities for families and students to explore a “school of choice.” The open enrollment period goes through April 30th. For more information about Open Enrollment you can contact Mrs. Lynn Davies (ldavies@woodsschool.com or you can visit DPI’s website HERE.

  3. Now is your time to get involved! The WPTG is looking for nominations for next year’s board. Nominations are due by April 14th, please consider running for President and/or Treasurer. All are welcome to attend their next meeting on April 14th at 6:00pm in the school library. 

  4. Any families wishing to donate items or certificates for the Silent Auction, please have those items turned in by April 17th. 

  5. Do you need a babysitter the night of the auction? Miss Jessie has offered her services, please see the attached flyer and look for one in your child’s backpack on Monday! You can contact the front office if you have any questions. 

  6. Our Lunch Menu has changed: Wednesday, April 16th the options are: Homestyle Meatloaf or Italian Dunkers. 

  7. Looking ahead: 

    1. April 18th - No School - Good Friday

    2. April 21st - No School - Teacher Inservice

    3. April 24th - 3rd - 8th Grade Play - showings at 2pm and 6pm

    4. April 25th - Our Lunch with a Loved One Celebration, please be sure to turn in your rsvp before April 17th, even if you are bringing a sack lunch. 

    5. May 2nd - The Annual Silent Auction at The Treasury in Delavan, WI

    6. May 8th - Spring Concert

  8. We continue to countdown the final weeks of the 25/26 school year. Our next graduates are Lauren & Cary, please see the attached document for their accomplishments, interests, and memories of Woods! These spotlights are also posted Sundays on our Facebook page, along with other information, please be sure to give us a follow!
